Louisiana Governor-Elect to Issue Executive Order Protecting LGBT State Employees

December 2, 2015, 10:17 am Louisiana governor-elect John Bel Edwards announced tonight that he plans to issue an executive order protecting state employees and government contractors from being fired, discriminated against, or harassed on the basis of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Edwards takes office January 11.
