The Blows Keep Coming: Third Federal Judge Halts Trump’s Anti-Transgender Military Ban

The country is growing to understand and support transgender Americans, and that growing support has never been more evident in the immense and overwhelming response to President Trump's reckless ban. 

Federal Judge Denies White House Attempt to Delay Transgender Americans from Enlisting in U.S. Military

By Adam Polaski • December 11, 2017, 2:24 pm Today, December 11, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly ruled in Doe v. Trump that transgender Americans must be allowed to enlist in the United States military beginning January 1. The Pentagon had requested a stay in the judge's previous ruling blocking President Trump's anti-transgender military ban, and this order today denies that stay. 

U.S. Supreme Court Denies Review in Case that Sought to Resolve Title VII Patchwork

By Adam Polaski • December 11, 2017, 9:53 am  Today the United States Supreme Court denied review of Evans v. Georgia Regional Hospital, a potentially landmark case dealing with workplace discrimination based on sexual orientation. The case, brought by Lambda Legal, concerns a Georgia security guard - Jameka Evans - who was harassed, assaulted, denied equal pay and equal work, and eventually forced to leave her job because of her sexual orientation.
